The design
The design of the 18K yellow gold Sapphire Stoned Bride ring is a true study in weightlessness. Three different stones, a 6 mm round and cushion, and a 7x5 mm pear, are set with tiny claws coming from a bezel hidden under the so-called "pavilion" of the stone. The ring is made up of three flat branches surrounding the lower part of the finger, but instead of meeting on either side of a central stone, they spread out and each end on a different stone. How do you give the illusion of three stones floating between the fingers? How are the stones so delicately held? How does one make the metal disappear in such a complex structure? All the creativity of our studio and all the knowldge of our workshops are present in this extraordinary model.
A word from our designer
"With this unusual ring, I wanted to recreate in a piece of jewelry the gesture of gemstone buyers, who observe the stones as they place them between their fingers. I recommend choosing a metal whose color blends in with the stone: yellow gold and citrine, for example. This way, the claws will be almost invisible and the illusion of stones floating between the fingers will be almost perfect.
