Like our jewellery pieces, Gemmyo women's watches are the fruit of exceptional expertise. Labelled Swiss made, our watches are manufactured in the heart of the Swiss Jura, a country renowned worldwide for its watchmaking.
For the movement of our Prima ladies watch, we have chosen a benchmark Swiss manufacturer: ETA. We chose a quartz movement for a watch that's easy to live with, lasts the test of time and requires little maintenance. It is also the most precise movement in the watchmaking world, thanks to the extreme regularity of the vibrations produced by the quartz crystal.
Attention to detail
A watch is a precious object of transmission, destined to travel through time with you. To ensure impeccable quality and long life for our women's watches, we select the finest materials.
The dial of our watches is protected by a sapphire glass, a benchmark in watchmaking. Made from synthetic corundum crystals, sapphire glass is used by the major watch manufacturers for its extremely high resistance: it cannot be scratched except by another sapphire or a diamond.
For our leather bracelets, we've opted for a natural, "full-grain" leather. Our leather is processed by one of the best tanneries in France, in the Besançon region. Using traditional know-how, the leather workers prepare the hide to make it as supple as possible, sand the leather to remove any small imperfections, then make and assemble the various parts. The result? Elegant bracelets that are both supple and resistant, to accompany your every move. And the story doesn't end there: because our leather is minimally treated, it develops a patina and reveals its uniqueness over time.
Our steel bracelets are made of stainless steel links. The fineness of the links means that the bracelet follows every movement, for a watch that's absolutely comfortable.
For our pink steel bracelets, a nod to the House's emblematic pink gold, we have chosen a pink PVD finish. This luminous, highly resistant coating is a perfect alternative to rose gold, visually very similar and less expensive. PVD is a method that involves placing steel parts in a hermetically sealed chamber with rose gold particles that impregnate the metal using a magnetic field. The result? A luminous, soft colour that lasts over time.
Personalisation
Like our jewellery, our women's watches can be personalised. This means you can choose the colour of your case (steel or rose steel) as well as your strap.
Our stainless steel bracelets are available in steel or rose steel.
Our leather bracelets are available in two versions: single-turn or double-turn.
If you're not sure which model to choose, our bracelets are interchangeable. Thanks to the "quick release" system, you can change them in seconds, at home and without tools.
Choosing the right watch size
While for a leather strap you don't have to worry about size, this question is on the other hand central when choosing a watch with a steel bracelet.
To ensure that your steel watch fits your wrist, the best thing to do is to come and try it on in one of our boutiques. Our advisers will then be able to add or remove links directly to ensure a perfect fit. However, if you prefer to order online, we have prepared a downloadable tool to help you measure the size of your wrist. When we send you your watch, we'll adjust the number of links to ensure it fits perfectly.
If, however, the size or model is not right when you receive it, don't worry: as with our jewellery, returns, exchanges and resizing are offered within 30 days.
