Our leather straps
Our leather pieces come from natural "full grain" leather, fashioned in one of the best tanneries in France, in the Besançon region.
Our women's leather watch straps are made using traditional craftsmanship that involves no less than 60 stages of manufacture and the intervention of 5 to 6 people!
Our steel bracelets
For our steel watch straps, we have chosen a particularly robust stainless steel.
As a reminder of rose gold - emblematic at Gemmyo - we have chosen to offer a variation of our bracelets in rose steel. This coating, with its luminous, highly resistant finish, is obtained using the PVD technique. PVD is a perfect alternative to rose gold, as it is visually very similar and less expensive.
Whether in leather or steel, our ladies watch straps are designed to fit smoothly with every movement. The full-grain leather used for our watches is particularly supple and light. As for our steel bracelets, they are made of fine links that follow the movements of the wrist with comfort. The result? Women's watches that are elegant and pleasant to wear.
Customise your women's watch strap
To let every woman to choose a watch that reflects her image, we design customisable women's watches.
For example, our first watch creation, the Prima watch is available with several straps: steel, rose steel, single-turn leather or double-turn leather.
If you're not sure which model to choose, we've thought of everything: the straps on the Prima watch have been designed to be interchangeable. Thanks to an ingenious sliding system, the change can be made anywhere and without tools.
Caring for your women's watch strap
Our women's watch straps have been thought out down to the smallest detail to last over time and accompany you on a daily basis. As with any precious object, however, they require special care.
We advise you to avoid wearing your watch during sports, or any other activity that may involve even light shocks, or you risk seeing micro-scratches appear on your steel watch strap.
As for our leather watch straps, it's good to know that they can't go underwater. Leather is a living material and exposure to water can cause premature ageing. If your watch strap does get wet, we recommend that you wipe it gently with a dry cloth and leave it to dry in the open air at room temperature, away from any source of heat. To keep your leather watch strap supple, we recommend that you regularly nourish it with a suitable cream or beeswax specially dedicated to leather care.
Choosing the right size for your watch strap
Our leather bracelets are available in one size only and adapt to your wrist: the different notches on the leather allow you to adjust the bracelet easily to the circumference of your wrist.
If you choose a steel bracelet, the best way to choose the right size is to come and try our watches on in one of our boutiques. Our advisers can then directly add or remove links to ensure a perfect fit. However, if you prefer to order online, we have prepared a downloadable tool for you to measure your wrist size. Based on this size, we will adjust the number of links before sending you your watch.
If, however, the size or model does not suit you on receipt, don't worry: as with our jewellery, returns, exchanges and resizing are offered within 30 days.
